The Residential Sales Team are accountable for the go-to-market strategy for the MRI Living Business unit. We were given the challenge of raising the bar both strategically and operationally, in alignment with MRI’s strategic priority to delight our clients and be recognised as a trusted partner in the real estate industry.
To effectively support the team in developing its 2025 strategic plan that would push the boundaries and elevate our thinking, we engaged the services of Thriving Minds Global. Known to many of us across the business, we knew we could rely on Gayle Pacchini to bring the edge and rigor needed to establish a plan that would hold us accountable and support our success.
Gayle was intentional in aligning the content for the offsite with our organisational values, leadership behaviours, strategic priorities and existing profiling tools to further strengthen alignment and adoption across the business. MRI’s Insights Discovery tool was incorporated to help the team identify strengths and opportunities both together, and as individual contributors, in executing against the strategic plan. Team observations and coaching was put in place to help the team step into their potential, including one-on-one observation, coaching, and feedback for myself as the team’s Leader. This support has helped me raise the bar for myself and the team, shifting my focus from a ‘doing’ to an ‘enabling’ mindset.
Our key objectives were to Celebrate our achievements, Connect as a Team, and to Create our 2025 Strategic Plan, of which we achieved all three. Gayle brought play and fun into what can typically be a dry and somewhat exhausting process, energising us as a team to embrace the challenge ahead. We ideated, reflected, debated, and built a plan that has given us focus, accountability, and a united purpose.
A key building block to this plan was who we are as a leadership team, spending time discussing and crafting our leadership brand. Anchoring our goals and objectives on something broader than simply a number on a page, has given our strategic plan meaning and intent.
We know what we want to achieve as a leadership team, what it will take to be successful and what we need to stop doing to ensure we focus on the things that matter most.
